Opening 21 June 6:30–8:30 pm
Exhibition 21 June – 22 July
When all we have left is a feeling of loss and ruin and our worlds are seemingly falling apart, what is there left for us to do? All we have left is an opening, a proposition to contemplate before taking action. Sometimes when all we have left is crisis all we can do is kiss, embrace, dance and be braced together. All we have left is not a solution. It is not a remedy or a cure. All we have left is a feeling, a practice, and reflection. All we have left is our choice, hope, and unconditional love for ourselves, community, and the places we inhabit.
We're proud to announce the opening of All we have left a solo exhibition from Kieran Butler (they/them) living and working on Wangal Land. Kieran's practice spans across fashion, design, performance, photography, text and textiles, examining intersections of photography, environmentalism and patchwork techniques within an ace-enby-trans framework.
Their work reflects on themes of queer identity and familial histories, accompanied by experiences of intimacy, vulnerability, self-awareness, love, desire and grief. Kieran contributes to the growing literature and visual history on ace-enby-trans lived experiences - resources that were not readily accessible to them as a young person.
