In Bedrock, Quinlivan explores and magnifies the emotions and feelings that surround our modern world. The title Bedrock goes beyond being a simple metaphor for the physical environment; it represents the intersection of various elements like materials, social interests, and our sensory and emotional responses with the resulting exhibition prompting us to contemplate turbulence and rejuvenation ultimately urging us to envision a future full of resilience.
Hannah Quinlivan is a globally accomplished artist who has presented work internationally, including at MINIARTEXTIL in Italy and Jan Kossen Contemporary in New York. She has held solo shows at significant institutions including the National Portrait Gallery in Canberra and the National Art School in Sydney. She has implemented numerous large-scale public art projects, including site-specific installations for Design Canberra and the Canberra Light Rail Network stations.
