Beneath the Topsoil is a new body of work by Claire Harmer focussing on the most contemporary and transient of landscapes: construction sites. For the artist, construction sites are a visual marker of the worsening housing crisis, and their study attempts to map a deeply felt notion of both personal and wide-spread spatial instability.
