In the embrace of Liawenee, Tasmania, I found a sanctuary that beckoned me across the seasons. Under the generous patronage of collectors, I embarked on two transformative journeys—first, in the heart of winter amidst the ethereal landscapes of July, and later, on the cusp of Spring. Initially driven by a desire for rest and fresh inspiration, I discovered that this place held far more than I could have imagined.
The decision to translate the visceral into paint, to capture the essence of Liawenee on canvas, felt like an immense undertaking. Contemplating the magnitude of the task could have easily stifled my creative impulse. Yet, as with any new artistic endeavour, I've learned to navigate the labyrinth of mental barriers by sidestepping them altogether and diving headfirst into what I love—painting. These works are my response to this time in Liawenee
