Britt d’Argaville is a Melbourne-based contemporary artist who primarily works with sculpture in an installation-focused practice. She uses various techniques, including printing, photography, and woodwork.
d’Argaville has recently produced site-specific abstract sculptures occupying a broad spectrum of detail, ranging from large-scale gestures to more intricate processes. She interrogates the axis of the gallery through unconventional modes of formal construction, producing affective works intended for the spectator’s body.
d’Argaville has recently completed her BFA (Honours) at Monash University. She is a co-gallerist at the Melbourne-based house gallery Asbestos, which was the location of her most recent solo exhibition, Landscape, in July 2023.
Recently, d’Argaville has participated in group exhibitions such as Then Sharply Turns at Conners Conners, (2023), Roomopolis at Meow2, (2022), and Metaverse at Adelaide Contemporary Experimental, (2022).
