Join us from 6-8pm on Thursday Nov 16, 2023 A solo show by Hayley Millar Baker: Entr’acte The exhibition will feature a powerful, moving image, silent portrait titled, ‘Entr’acte’ which explores a female protagonist symbolising the struggles and challenges women endure across different experiences, identities and roles. Alongside Entr’acte the exhibition will showcase Hayley Millar Baker’s stunning photographic suite of eight images titled, ‘I Will Survive’. Shown for the first time in Sydney, this series delves into cautionary tales, superstitions and survival stories passed down to Hayley as a child from her Aboriginal and migrant parents and grandparents. These stories evolve over time, becoming fictionalised or taking on cinematic qualities as they are retold.
