Michael is a self taught painter creating autobiographical paintings that explore form and composition using abstraction as a tool to take the audience inside the artist's mind. Layering shapes, colours, textures and line work he is continuing to create work with great depth and emotion. His latest body of work 'Figures and Faces Along the Way', a collection of portraiture and figurative paintings that have been kept safe in the studio over the past decade. Each painting, in their own way capturing a piece of self and shedding light on the artists journey coping the the severe highs and lows that can come with Bipolar Disorder.
