Homunculus presents a strange world conjured from imagination, crafted from fabric stained with pigments and bound with soy, patched and layered in a collage-like process, then stitched and quilted by hand and machine. Thread binds the work together, filling mouths and eyes as though revealing inner structure or masking something secret, forming a menagerie of time-worn puppet-like beings mutely awaiting animation.
