Sept 15 6-8pm is opening night for the big group show called Hooray for Hollywood at the Hotel Hollywood. I’ve been collaborating on this ambitious project with Sydney art collective MART for a few months now. HFH runs 15-30 Sept and includes over 50 local & international artists, ranging from the well known - like Lindy Lee, Blak Douglas and James Powditch - through to outstanding NAS students and everyone in between - inc me! The show is in honour of Doris Goddard, the Hollywood’s legendary ukelele-picking publican until her passing in 2019. For me it represents a major part of my year-long artist residency at this beloved Sydney institution. All images by Hugh Stewart.
