Madeness is an ongoing collaboration between Nikky Morgan-Smith and Nicki Wynnychuk that explores moments of isolation, connection, empathy and play. Madeness relates to an intimacy built through the embrace of materials, by working in a process that folds into and pulls apart elements that are embedded in the objects. Using bartered, found and salvaged timber with acrylic paint, oil pastels oxide and natural oils, Morgan-Smith & Wynnychuk have created a suit of new work that reflects and extends on their last collaborative project Expanded Feel.
