‘Out of Order’ presents a suite of needlepoint tapestries executed in wool, mohair and nylon on canvas, linen and hessian, featuring enlarged and adapted hand-written messages from parcels and packages. Through the magnification and decontextualisation of these found words, Edmondson illuminates the graphic quality, idiosyncrasy, and absurdity of marks made with little regard for design, and often in a hurry.
