Opening 9th June 3 - 5pm
Reflections in Light is a series of oil paintings that explores the interplay between light, the temporal and the eternal unknown. These works have a three-dimensional quality that change and move with the position that they are placed, seeking not to pierce the sky’s mysteries but to live through them. As light changes and shifts its reflections throughout the day, the works reveal to the viewer new and familiar perspectives of an ever-present landscape.
My studio is open to the sky, a palette of shifting atmospheres from which I draw daily inspiration and nourishment. The exploration of paint, a mercurial and elusive medium, allows me to shape and play with it as a moveable landscape. Light emerges from the dark with the play of colour, reflecting nature’s interwoven dualities of the sombre and divine.
My collectors engage in this journey into the infinite spaces I create. Experiencing the nature of time and light, silence and noise, always changing and shifting.
