Partnering with Waiting Room Project, a collaboration between Cailyn Forrest and Bea Buckland-Willis offers a deeply personal exploration into the experience of the medicalised female body in an effort to reclaim it through practice and analyse the darkroom as a feminist performance space. Utilising the dreamy quality of traditional analogue process, the images are a nostalgic exploration of time, place and memory as we grow older and things don’t feel so absolute anymore. For Cailyn and Bea, process is altered and manipulated in real time and the body’s relationship to process alters and authors images – it is an embodied experience.
