THE AESTHETICS OF NIL INTENT [TAONI] my upcoming exhibition admittedly TAONI is an unusual proposition, perhaps even a radical one. it is a long running thesis that i’ve been given the opportunity to tease out at SLOTprojects. in short, it is an exhibition of ‘inherent truth’. on display are salvaged items that have simply ‘become’. that is, without any driving intent, consideration or aesthetic decision invested in their becoming. i’ll be at the Gallery throughout the opening times, as well as at the opening. if in town, i would be very interested on your take and response … note: nothing is for sale
