Join the Mimili artists at the APY Gallery Sydney as they open a very special exhibition of major works by the rising artists of Mimili Community. Puna Yanima, Emma Singer, Pauline Wangin, Betty Campbell and Tanya Umatji Tjapalyi paint the country and culture of the Yankunytjatjara and Pitjantjatjara people living in Mimili on the APY (Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara) Lands of North-west South Australia. These artists paint landscapes with intimacy, depth and strength. Strong cultural knowledge intertwined with water holes, sandhills, mountains, trees and even whirl winds are captured from a cultural and authoritative viewpoint.
