We are pleased to invite you to the opening of Elsie Preston | To Mould a Mussel. OPENING ON THURSDAY 19 OCTOBER 2023, 6-8PM at Conners Conners (Fitzroy Town Hall). Through painting and sculpture, Elsie Preston considers how the form and the meaning of a word has developed over time. She diagrams the interesting and often humorous associations between words, images and objects; pairings exist between a shoe heel and a flat fish or a foolscap and a document file. She employs wordplay and visual pun, reflecting on the fluid nature of interpretation and communication. Gallery hours: Wednesday to Saturday 12-6pm
