‘traces’ explores the lingering imprints of memory and the residue of experiences within the landscape. Through abstract forms and fluid colour palettes, I capture the invisible paths left behind — like the murmuration of birds, shifting sands, or fallen leaves. These traces reflect the emotions that shape our connection to nature and the world around us, both real and imagined.
My paintings evolve through cycles of painting, unpainting, and repainting, each layer interacting with the layers that have gone before. The process of constructive erasure echoes the continuous flow of transformation where each brushstroke holds a memory and each layer is a reflection of history and of time’s passage.
In this exhibition, I invite the viewer to contemplate what remains after everything has passed, and the emotions carried in those remnants of memory.
