It all began with a quick botanical drawing. Now after more than two months – and hours of printing, stitching and conversation – our art project is ready to be shared. This collaborative project, conceived and led by the amazingly talented Julie Paterson, is both a celebration of nature and of our (often overlooked) personal potential for creativity. From our initial sketches, Julie created an impressive length of printed cloth. Members of the group all received their own piece of that cloth to embellish and transform over six weekly group sessions. It has been an inspiring process of art making and community building.
