A solo exhibition by Simone Lee at Oddany Gallery from 8th to 25th of August. Simone lee is a multidisciplinary artist with a practice spanning across photography, film, sculpture, green and dirt. Their practice embodies the poetics of space, introspection and relation, foregrounding the overlooked and discarded. The works themselves become found (chosen) objects: excavated from the quiet corners of the natural world. Through earthly texture, material and imagery, the familiar and the unfamiliar become intertwined, foraging intimate exchanges between life and self that exist within an ongoing dialogue of re-examination and renewal. When one body decays, another one grows.
