This exhibition brings forth new works form both Cassia Glynn Bray and Felixe Rives both using lights and shadow to bring life to a darkened space illuminating themes of memory and the body.
Cassia Glynn Bray engages formalist and minimalist aesthetics alongside memory sculpture and light to disrupt the audience's body within space and capture corporeal and incorporeal traces of intergenerational memory, trauma, and the body archive.
Felixe Rives illuminates the memories that glass objects capture through our interaction with them in the repetitive mundane tasks of everyday life. Revealing an organic new perspective onto those objects to build a greater connection with the viewer, drawing attention to the transcendence of the mundane object.
