OPENING NIGHT: FRIDAY 20TH September, 6-8.30pm
What began as a necessity—commuting by public transport after losing my driver’s license has evolved into a exploration of the shared human experience through drawing. I learned in art school the power of drawing people on the move, how a sketch can capture the essence of a person, a train is a metal cabin of models who plainly tell their own stories. Revisiting this practice during my three months of train travel, gave me connection in my journey. It would sometimes be a conversation, eye contact, a look, a nod, sometimes nothing but always a drawing. Through my work, I aim to celebrate these brief moments of connection, imperfect, spontaneous, and deeply human.
