Joel Arthur’s first solo show with THIS IS NO FANTASY, Plots and Grounds explores the human impression on urban and social landscapes. Arthur’s vibrant oil paintings reflect on modernism, urban development, and the division of land, and questions the notion of ownership in contemporary society. Constantly treading the line between fantasy and reality, the works are often imbued with a psychedelic twist.
